General Instructions

This product may be used by aircraft or ground spraying equipment.

Spray timings for rust control:

Determine the susceptibility of the wheat or barley variety, eg Department of Agriculture data, to determine spray requirements.

Seedling infections: When approximately 20% of leaves show signs of infection during tillering or jointing, spray within a week.

Adult infections: Susceptible varieties: Spray within one week if approximately 10% of leaves show infection. Do not delay.

Moderately susceptible varieties: Spray within one week if approximately 15-20% of leaves show infection. Do not delay.

Moderately resistant and resistant varieties: Monitor vigilantly. Spray within one week if rust appears and spreads.

For Stripe Rust: Re-spraying may be required as reinfection can occur. Regularly monitor crops at risk from 3 weeks after application to assess if reapplication is required.

Fungicide Resistance Warning

Ospray Triadimefon 500WG Fungicide is a member of the DMI group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management the product is a Group 3 fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to Ospray Triadimefon 500WG Fungicide and other Group 3 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by Ospray Triadimefon 500WG Fungicide or other Group 3 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Ospray Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Ospray Triadimefon 500WG Fungicide to control resistant fungi.

Half fill the spray tank with water. Add the required amount of product then add the remainder of the water to the tank and mix thoroughly. Agitate prior to and during spraying.

Do not mix more than can be used for the days spraying.

Do not tank mix with trace elements or other chemicals without first checking compatibility.

Ground Rig: Use a convenient amount of water eg 30 to 100L water per hectare. Aerial Application - Apply in a minimum of 10 litres of water per hectare. Apply preferably in a cross wind of greater than 5 knots. If this is not possible, increase the volume to 30L/ha and increase the droplet size. Spray in the morning and reduce the swath width. Booms with fan nozzles set forward at 450 forward to the airstream and Micronairs with blade settings of 30 - 500 are equally satisfactory. Use proper measures (eg smoke generators) for gauging wind speed, direction and variability of the wind.

Protection of wildlife, fish, crustaceans and environment

DO NOT feed treated leaf matter to wild or domestic birds or other animals. Harmful to fish.

DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with chemical or used containers.

Safety Directions

Poisonous if swallowed. May irritate the eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust. When preparing product for use, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and a washable hat, elbow length PVC gloves and a disposable dust mask.

If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, vegetation and roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt.
