General Instructions

Fungicide Resistance Warning

Cheminova BULLS-EYE Systemic Fungicide is a member of the DMI Group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management BULLS-EYE is a Group C fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to BULLS-EYE may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal population if this fungicide is used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by BULLS-EYE, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Cheminova Pty. Ltd. accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of BULLS-EYE to control the resistant fungi.

Mixing

Pour the measured volume of BULLS-EYE slowly into the required volume of spray water in the spray tank while maintaining constant agitation. Sprays containing BULLS-EYE should be used as soon as possible after mixing and maintain constant agitation throughout the spray operation.

Wetting Agent

The addition of a non-ionic wetting agent is required when BULLS-EYE is being applied to macadamia nuts and addition of a miscible oil for application to bananas.

Compatibility

BULLS-EYE is compatible with the following products for the crops in which they are recommended: Monitor, Nitofol, Rogor, Supracide, Lorsban, Pirimor, Ambush, Dominex, Ridomil MZ formulations, Bravo, Sumisclex, Rovral, Dithane M-45, Kendon High K, urea, EC formulations of synthetic pyrethroids, EC formulations of organophosphate insecticides, Copper oxychloride formulations.

Application

Thorough coverage is essential for effective results. For aerial application use 20 to 30 L water/ha.

For ground application, use at least 100 L water/ha.

Macadamia Nuts: Apply by high volume (dilute) sprayer or by concentrate sprayer.

Dilute spraying:

Use a sprayer designed to apply high volumes of water up to the point of run-off and compatible with the crop being treated. Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy and apply suffi cient water to cover the crop to the point of run-off. Avoid excessive run-off. The sprayer must be calibrated for each individual crop situation to ensure that the correct water volume and crop coverage is achieved.

Concentrate spraying:

Use a sprayer designed to apply low volumes of water (less than up to the point of run-off) and compatible with the crop being treated. Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your choice of water volume. The water volume used in low volume application is calculated from the amount used in high volume application. The mixture rate for concentrate mixture application can be calculated as follows:

1. If the dilute mixture application spray volume is 1 500 L/ha and your volume choice is 500 L/ha then the concentration factor is 3X (1 500 L/500 L = 3).

2. If the dilute label rate of application is 50 g/100 L water, then the concentrate rate of application becomes 3 X 50 g = 150 g/100 L of concentrate spray mixture.

The sprayer must be calibrated for each individual crop situation to ensure that the correct water volume and crop coverage is achieved. Users must ensure that they are adequately trained in order to apply BULLS-EYE according to industry guidelines and industry Best Practices.

Restraints

DO NOT apply more than 6 applications of this product per season.

The effect of BULLS-EYE could be diminished if rain falls within 2 hours of application.

Precautions

Warning

Special Warning: Bananas

There are certain conditions when the surface of recently emerged fruit is particularly prone to marking damage from spray applications. In circumstances where application will be made to very rapidly growing fruit in hot conditions with strong direct light. It is recommended that all emerged bunches be bagged prior to spraying to minimise risk of fruit marking.

If using BULLS-EYE with a mineral oil in blocks with un-bagged bunches, please contact Cheminova Pty. Ltd., your chemical reseller or aerial applicator for up to date information regarding the oil formulations recommended by Cheminova Pty. Ltd.
