FMC welcomes new faces to national sales team

Creation date: 05 December 2015

FMC Crop Protection Australia welcomes Jaxon Morris and Matthew White to their national sales team.

Matt Sargent, FMC National Sales Manager Australia, said both Jaxon and Mathew bring local knowledge and extensive industry experience in business development and customer liaison.   “We believe both appointments are excellent additions to the team in line with the future direction and growth of FMC,” he said.

Jaxon Morris joins the team as Area Business Manager for North Queensland based in Townsville.

A familiar face in the north, Jaxon was previously Northern Hub Manager with Elders, supporting the regional branches across all facets of the business.

Originally born in New York, Jaxon migrated to Australia with family, growing up on a banana farm in Tully. Following an apprenticeship in diesel fitting and mechanics, Jaxon went on to own and operate a Holden dealership in Tully.

His agribusiness career started in 2000 when he joined Landmark as the Tully branch manager. Jaxon spent a decade with Landmark, progressing to Queensland Merchandise Manager, and onto Melbourne as the National Wholesale Manager.

In 2010 Jaxon relocated north to Brisbane as the Northern and Western Manager for Ruralco, before moving to Townsville for the role at Elders.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to the sales side of business and contact with customers”, said Jaxon of his new role with FMC. “It’s what I enjoy doing most,” he said.

Joining the sales team in the south is Matthew White, Area Business Manager for Eastern Victoria and Tasmania.

Based in Melbourne, Matthew was previously the Australian sales representative for Rygel (Profeng Australia). Matthew brings 24 years agribusiness experience to the role, primarily in horticulture, with over 12 years at EE Muir & Sons as manager of their Yarra Valley Silvan branch.

In the following years Matthew spent three years in a sales role with Yates, undertaking business management studies during this time.

“I’m looking forward to the face-to-face part of this role with the distribution network and growers”, said Matthew, “as well as the opportunity to join a global company in a time of development and growth” he said.
